Amazingly 7 months have flown by. Actually 6 months flew by so fast that we decided to stay an extra month in Mexico instead of continuing our road trip up the west coast. We decided that we were just happy where we were and that it would be much more economical to just stay put a bit longer.
But when having fun, time has that pesky little way of going by fast (well in bad times too, but it does seem to slow down/speed up depending on your mood!) and we are finally at the end of our Cuyutlan stay at our house.
We ended up giving away a full garbage bag full of clothes (where did they come from??), another full of toys, a bunch of kitchen stuff and our bikes. It turned into 3 trips to town to bring it all in. We really do not buy much, but 7 months for 4 people with growing kids does add up. It never ceases to amaze me how stuff accumulates.
Anyway, on our last night we did one last beach session and said goodbye to the last of the wonderful people we have met here. Oh and because we couldn’t stand the idea of not coming back here soon, we also put a deposit on another rental for next December! The house isn’t as nice as we have this time, but it is right in town which gives us an option not to rent a car since the wonderful Mexican bus service leaves from nearby. We will fly in for just the month. Our idea is to rent our house in Val-David out for the month (let me know for any takers!) which should pay for the trip. It is nice to have a goal to reach and it makes leaving much easier when we know we will be back (only for 4 weeks this time!) in just a few months.
Here are some last beach photos for the road. We are heading home, but not directly! Off to Guadalajara for a few days of tourist’ing!
